Warner School ranked among Top 100 Best Graduate Education Programs by U.S. News

The University of Rochester’s Warner School of Education and Human Development has been recognized as one of the top 100 Graduate Education Programs in the country by U.S. News and World Report. The rankings evaluated 258 graduate education programs nationwide. Coming in at #100, the 2025 ranking continues Warner’s strong upward progression by moving 36 spots over the past five years. 

“We’re proud to see the Warner School recognized among the Top 100 Graduate Education Programs,” says Melissa Sturge-Apple, interim dean of the Warner School. “This national ranking reflects the exceptional work of our faculty as scholars and educators and the strength of our school’s academic programs and research productivity. Being ranked in the top 100 is a testimony to the impact and excellence of our education community.”

The Warner School offers 11 master’s programs, seven doctoral programs, and 14 advanced certificate programs. Graduate programs in teaching include master’s degrees in specialty areas, including elementary education, early childhood, English language arts, world languages, mathematics, science, social studies, disabilities and inclusion, reading and literacies, TESOL, and computer science.
